Cookie Policy
The short version: the site works without tracking you, and the calculator does not need cookies at all.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser to remember things between pages or visits. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside UK GDPR) requires us to tell you which ones we use and to get your consent for any that are not strictly necessary.
Cookies we set
None that track you. The cost calculator runs entirely in your browser and does not store the figures you enter. We do not set advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics scripts that set cookies.
Cookies set by others
Pages on this site link out to external sites such as GOV.UK and FENSA. Those sites set their own cookies under their own policies once you are on them; we have no control over that.
If this changes
If we add analytics or advertising in future, this page will be updated first, and a consent banner will be added where the law requires one, so you can refuse non-essential cookies before any are set.
Managing cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its privacy settings. Blocking all cookies will not break this site. For more on your rights, see our privacy policyor the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with the date below. This policy was last updated on 5 June 2026.
