Write For Us

We occasionally publish guest contributions from people who work in the trade: installers, surveyors, glaziers and energy assessors. Here is what we accept and how to pitch.

What we are looking for

Practical, specific pieces that help UK homeowners pay a fair price for double glazing. Good examples: what a surveyor checks before quoting a bay window, how scaffolding changes the price of upper-floor work, what a FENSA inspection actually involves, or regional pricing knowledge we do not yet cover. If it could only have been written by someone who has done the job, we are interested.

What we will not publish

Generic SEO articles, AI-written filler, advertorials, or anything that recommends a product or company the writer has a commercial interest in without saying so. Every claim needs to stand up against our methodology, and every price needs a source or a credible trade basis. Editorial control stays with us: pieces are edited for house style and fact-checked, and we say no to most pitches.

How it works

Email a short pitch (two or three sentences, plus a line on your trade background) to hello@doubleglazingcostcalculator.co.uk. If it fits, we will agree a brief before you write. Published pieces carry your name and trade credentials, and a note that the figures were reviewed by Tom Bradley, who checks every number on this site against what jobs really cost.

These figures are independent 2026 estimates, not a formal quote. Always get at least three written quotes before you commit. Grant rules change often, so confirm eligibility on GOV.UK and check your installer is registered with FENSA.
